Scotia Insurance

Scotia Insurance Caribbean Limited (SICL), a subsidiary of The Bank of Nova Scotia, was licensed as a life insurance company in Barbados on Sept. 25, 2012. SICL operates under the marketing brand of Scotia Insurance in the following countries in the Caribbean:

  • Barbados
  • Belize
  • British Virgin Islands
  • Cayman Islands
  • Turks and Caicos Islands

As a member of the Scotiabank® group of companies, which has been operating in the Caribbean since 1889, Scotia Insurance offers credit protection to Scotiabank customers on personal loans, residential mortgages, personal lines of credit, personal and small business credit cards.

Scotia Insurance products and services are also offered in other Caribbean countries through Scotia Insurance Eastern Caribbean Limited (SIECL).
